Faculty Advisor
 | Erin C. Tully, Ph.D.Dr. Tully studies emotion-responsivity factors, such as appraisal of others’ emotions and empathic emotions, as potential risk and protective factors for depression and anxiety in children. She has a particular interest in how parents’ emotions and behaviors contribute to children’s development of empathy, compassion, and prosocial behavior. Dr. Tully and the FEELINGS lab researchers use diverse methodology, including behavioral observations, heart rate variability, and fMRI tasks to study these risk and protective factors from toddlerhood through early adolescence. |
